Double takes

There are times in life when one needs to do a double take....or maybe triple...quadruple. I think this is one of those times.

wowsers

Mom should have just bitch slapped this girl and left her in the parking lot. Sad to see kids growing up to become like this. Thanks MTV. What happened to the music?

The Fish Market

So I know I've been slacking off big time in updating my blog. That's a big no no if I want to keep this interesting. Hope I can keep it updated or I'll be disappointed when I look back later on.

Went to eat dinner at The Fish Market at the Irvine Spectrum tonight with my girlfriend, Prima, after some shopping. We've dined there probably 3-4 times already and every time we ask each other why we keep going back. Its certainly not for the fish that's for sure. We do love the raw Kubomoto oysters they have, but I guess it isn't in season and they didn't have it on their menu. What a bummer. We had the Ono and New Zealand Seabass and the funny thing is we couldn't taste the difference between the two. My complaint about American seafood is that they only know to either grill it or bake it. Any fish ends up tasting the same and I dont feel like Im eating seafood anymore. I guess the fob in me still prefers the Asian way of preparing seafood. All in all the food was just normal and by normal I mean Prima and I can just go down to Trader Joes and get the marinated Mahi Mahi and make some Uncle Ben's rice pilaf and still come up with a mean that's probably tastier than this place. The only thing I can really recommend getting there are the Kubomoto oysters when they are on the menu.

Literati

Got my ass handed to me in a Literati game with my girlfriend tonight. It was over after her first two words. I normally last a lot longer. I'll make sure to get her back next time. I always end up with the bad letters!

LV x Takashi Murakami

Came across this video on youtube created by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami for Louis Vuitton. He is also the person that designed the popular multi-color monograms for Louis Vuitton bags.

Gucci

Gucci recently opened a flagship store in Ginza and it's a first for Gucci to have their own building as a flagship store. The finished store just looks awesome from the picture and videos. I think it totally exudes what Gucci is all about. It has 8 floors with the first 3 floors dedicated to Gucci products and even a Gucci cafe on the 4th floor. Gucci will also offer a "made to order" program exclusively at this location. I'm sure all the Gucci fans are drooling already. So if you are in Tokyo sometime, go check it out. I can't wait. Read here Gucci Ginza for more.

VEOH

Another great alternative to Youtube that I've recently discovered is Veoh. It's content has less homemade and webcam videos than Youtube but its got some movies and tv shows. Good thing about it is that you can download the videos and save them for later too.

Youtube x Internet

When the power or cable system used to go out at my house. I would find myself panicking...not because I was scared of the dark?. Not because that meant no television. But because I didn't know what I would do without the Internet. What else could keep me consumed and entertained for hours at a time? How else could I be as connected with the rest of the world? The Internet has to be the single greatest invention or creation of my time. I just can't imagine life without it. Then we had email and stuff like AOL when we were growing up. Then came the ability to download music! Even though it meant one song took a couple of hours at the time. Now with internet video going mainstream and websites being able to steam video right to our computers. I find myself not watching TV anymore. I can sit in front of my computer and get better programming than what my television can offer with a click of the mouse. It all started with Youtube which made me sit in front of my computer for countless hours watching videos I had never seen before and ordinary people sharing video that were simply brilliant. Youtube revolutionized the sharing of media and ordinary people can now be stars too!

Wanted to share some interesting video's I've come across lately...

I love Japan
